Cherry Lam - Intermediate Vocal Teacher

About Cherry

Graduated with a BA (Hons) in Vocal Studies and Performance from the Arden School of Theatre, Cherry is a vocalist and singing teacher originally from Hong Kong, now permanently based in the UK, travelling between Manchester and Liverpool.

Cherry is a certified Estill Master Trainer since 2018, and the senior singing/musical theatre teacher at Mainstream Theatre Arts in Tameside, Manchester, since 2022. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Voice Pedagogy graduating in 2026. Cherry was also trained in classical piano from the age of seven and attained Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Grade 8 for both piano and music theory.

She has a broad range of experience in working with singing enthusiasts who are keen to develop or improve their singing and performance techniques in various styles and genres including musical theatre, pop, rock and other diverse contemporary styles, as well as preparing students for graded singing exams and Estill certification. She is a strong advocate of science-based approach in singing, vocal training and vocal health, and is looking to further progress in this area through the Masters study she is currently pursuing.

As of April 2026, Cherry has developed her teaching status from Graudate to Intermediate as part of her on-going skills development and teaching experience in-house at Pro Vox. 

Cherry is trilingual. She can conduct lessons in English, Cantonese or Mandarin and works with repertoire/songs in all three languages/dialects.

Cherry is available for bookings across Thursdays and is highly recommended for both novice singers just starting to explore singing, and those who are more experienced and would like to improve and achieve a breakthrough in their singing ability.

Any students working with Cherry will gain the opportunity to take part in our live performances throughout the year, along with vocal exams in popular music and musical theatre. Students also have access to our Advanced Teacher and Director Carrie, who works closely with Cherry to ensure the very best possible training and opportunities for students of Pro Vox.
